Heads up! The semester is winding down and the library will have different hours starting December 10. 
So the third target date is fast approaching (November 10) and I perused the progress list we keep for UNIV 106. Let's see, there are 104 students and more than half of you haven't even started.
October 13th--a Friday, no less--marks the second "Target Date" for UNIV 106, Library Skills. What does this mean? It means you should have completed every assignment up to 13 (kinda makes sense, huh?).
September 15 is the first "target date" and it means you should (ideally) have finished with assignments 1 through 7. Target dates are just that, a marker to pace your progress as you complete assignments. You will not be in trouble if you are not at that point; or haven't even started the course yet! 
It's the Library's birthday tomorrow, September 6th and you're invited to celebrate with us by getting some cake! We'll be giving away cake slices on the front steps of the library starting at 10:30 am. 
The library will be closed Monday, September 4 for Labor Day. We will be open the weekend before Labor Day and continue regular hours on Tuesday. Check our library hours page for a complete list of Fall semester hours. 
The UNIV 106 (Library Skills class) is now officially closed. I sincerely hope this class gave you a greater understanding of the breadth and scope of knowledge available to you through the library. 
The Friday, May 5 deadline has passed. If you did not turn in all of your assignments by then please don't bother to do so now. Should you want to spend sleepless nights at the library, only the first floor will be open 24 hours, with coffee available after 11 pm. It's crunch time, folks, and you have until 6:00 pm Friday, May 5, to turn in all your completed UNIV 106 assignments. No unfinished assignments will be accepted after the May 5 deadline.
The first floor only of the Albertsons Library will be open 24 hours a day from 10:00 AM Sunday, May 7, through 6:00 PM Thursday, May 11. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and check out reserve materials.The free coffee is provided by Student Activities.
Friday, May 5th, is the day when you should have completed all of the UNIV 106 assignments. This means that you have less than two weeks to get everything in order, meaning assignments turned in and corrections completed. As I've said before, the assignments are not hard but they do take time.
April 7th came and went. Did you make any headway on your assignments? More and more of you are finishing them up and to you I say, Contratulations! If you are done with UNIV 106 you may take your assignments home and use the knowledge gained from the class to hone your research skills.
A reminder that the third target date is fast approaching: Friday, April 7th! This means that, ideally, you should have completed up to assignment 18. If you are, by all means keep it up! There are a total of 22 assignments and even though they are not tough, they are time consuming.
The library is a great place to relax and get your research done. Unfortunately, relaxing too much may provide someone an opportunity to make out with your things, such as laptops, cell phones, or other valuable items. While We want you to get the most from our library, but caution you to keep your eyes open and your belongings close at hand. Help us keep the library a safe and relaxing place to study; if you notice anything suspicious or questionable, let a nearby staff member know.

Spring begins March 20th and we're all thinking of sunshine and some deserved time off. Before you know it, finals will be here and you will wonder where the time went, especially if you haven't even started the UNIV 106 (Library Skills) course.
